Ziegra Triple MKII water filter (part # ZUK9700029-2)


The Ziegra Triple MKII is a new improved version of the original Ziegra Triple and was introduced in April 2009. The new kit is functionally identical to the old one and all parts apart from bowls are interchangeable. If at any point you need to order a spare bowl for your kit, please check the part number on your kit and make sure you order correct bowl.

You will need a 15mm copper or plastic water supply pipe terminating in a 3/4" BSP fitting and a food quality water hose for the water inlet side. Alternatively the 15mm supply can be plumbed straight into the inlet compression fitting of the non-return valve. You will need another food quality hose to connect the outlet of the filter to the machine. UBE1.500 and above have a 1/2" water inlet fitting, so you will also need a 1/2" to 3/4" adpator bush when installing a triple to one of these machines.
Kit Assembly
Check contents of kit to make sure no components are missing Lie the unit down on a clean surface with the gauges facing up towards you Fit the 15mm non return valve to the stub adaptor on the left side (inlet) of the unit, make sure the arrow points towards the filter system and the compression fitting is tightened properly. If you wish to use a water hose to connect from the supply to the inlet of the filter, fit the 15mm to 3/4" BSP adaptor to the inlet side of the non return valve.
Installation
Choose mounting location suitable to support the weight of the system Do not connect the system to a water cooled condenser Install vertically with bowls hanging down and allow 100mm below the bowls for easy cartridge changes Flush new cartridges by running water through them for 1 minute at full flow.
Operation
Always utilise the supplied bowl spanner for cartridge changes. Do not strike the bowl with a hammer Always flush the filter cartridge at time of installation and at every cartridge change as per instructions above. Clean the washable pre-filter when blockage is observed through the transparent bowl (1st cartridge on the left) Monitor the level of the anti-scale cartridge and change when the level is low (centre cartridge). Do not allow them to run out Change the fine filter cartridge when blockage is indicated on the differential pressure gauges (3rd cartridge on the right) Change pre-filter and fine cartridge every 6 months regardless of condition to prevent bacterial contamination. It is recommended that while the cartridges are being changed, the opportuntiy is taken to flush Ziegra sanitiser through the system to help guard against bacterial contamination. This is the minimum recommended flushing interval and more frequent flushing may be required for more contaminated environments and water supplies.
